I have been a Consultant since 2004 and I am qualified in both Sport and Exercise Medicine and Rheumatology. I am a fellow of both the Faculty of Sport and Exercise Medicine and the Royal College of Physicians. I am also qualified in performing musculoskeletal ultrasound.
I have specialised in the management of Tendon injuries since I became a consultant in 2004. I completed my medical doctorate on tendon disorders at University College London. I have extensive experience at helping people with tendon problems from all levels of physical activity.
I have worked at several Teaching Hospitals in London including Barts' and the London, Guy's and St Thomas', St Georges', the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital and at Addenbrookes in Cambridge. I was also consultant for 9 years at Headley Court the Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre.
I am an Honorary Senior Lecturer in Sport and Exercise Medicine at Queen Mary College, London. I have published many articles relating to tendinopathy in peer reviewed journals. Some of these articles have been highly cited.
I have worked in many sports including Football, Rugby Union, elite Motor Sport (including F1) and was Physician to the GB Beijing 2008 Paralympic Team and London 2012 Olympic Games.
